Don´t know what to do
Jan. 15th, 2023 05:19 pm Vaire cat has begun to feed again. Not much, but she makes it to her feeding dish thrice a day, which is okay. She gets egg and goat milk as a supplement, but... she is completely blind now. The moment she has fed, she slowly slinks down the staircase then is lost. The combination of being blind and demented is not a good one. It takes her a long time to find her way back to the places she loves to rest on. And a lot of running against walls and furniture. She did the under-the-table trial thrice, before she noticed that this definitely was not the route to the sofa. Her new litter box has been placed into the TV corner. At least she uses it regularly- no more accidents, which is good.
Sundays are so very boring! I woke up late to the smell of burned bread, because hubby had made croissants with ham and cheese in our toaster (???) but had them in for a bit too long. The rest of the day got spent with decluttering some drawers, then mostly reading it was. Lunch was a combination of those ingredients in the fridge which were near their expiry date. We ended up having spaghetti with a sauce made of tuna, anchovis, dried tomatoes, capers and, get this, fine crumbs of prosciutto and feta. More space in the fridge now- hubby is already browsing the leaflets for supplies sold the next week. He must be very afraid of starving...
The weather was too dark for doing more knitting. My eyes won´t tolerate the blinding lights of our ceiling lamps, and my desk light is a meagre one, just bright enough to let me find the letters on the keyboard. So I will bridge the time between last coffee break and TV crime thriller with reading. Again...
