Did another raid of our fridge this morning and decided that it was time for noodles- again:( We had Gorgonzola, we had dried tomatoes, we had creme fraiche- all of it on the brink of expiring. And we had bruschetta noodles, a Christmas present from number four. They tasted marvellous, but when cooking I thought that hubby somehow had slipped some meat into the noodle water, so strange did it smell. Besides, hubby is not used to meals without meat, except for the days we have sweet meals, like Topfenknödel or Kaiserschmarrn and the like. The tiny teaspoon of my new miracle weapon- dried shredded bacon, self-made, of course- did not count, but worked wonders with the taste of the sauce. Since lunch was a quick affair, I had a try on this in the afternoon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybBad9ayZz4. It did work fine, though I noticed too late that I had rolled the dough too thin. I was too lazy to redo it, which made the bread not rise as high as it should during the baking process. And I forgot to put the dough into the Thermomix for kneading. I swear, if I will ever find a burglar in our house, I will beg him on my knees to take that darn thing with him. Most unnecessary purchase ever! I love to cook, I love to have friends and even hubby in the kitchen and have a nice talk during the cooking process. I definitely do not need a food processor, where I fill in the ingredients and pretend that I am cooking. Besides, I´d never do anything with meat in it. No way, never ever!
After lunch I did a bit of prettifying the ´Heart of Horror´, as husband has called it. He´s right, it´s so outstandingly ugly that Cassian might love it. If that darn thing ever gets finished I might post a picture... or not.
Seems that they want to end all rules for Covid in June. I´m not buying it! Too many people still make a mint with the virus and won´t give up their money source so easily! Remember Gecko, our Covid crisis coordination team, composed of people well connected to our government but having not a hunch of what to do? They were the first to protest against the development! I´d put those idiots in a huge terrarium in a zoo and let people watch them from outside, for all of us to see those ticks, who have badgered us for so long! Now let´s keep our fingers crossed, that Covid will be a case for history books then- the years, where social life came to a temporary halt. But as I said already, I only believe it when it´s indeed happening!
