(no subject)

 Storm is back indeed. I was preparing a quick (???) ramen, because hubby does another batch of bacon and has put a lot of bones into the fridge for binning today. No way, I thought, and prepared the broth for ramen, which unfortunately involves about two hours of cooking bones and other ingredients like dried anchovy. There's quite a lot of cooking fumes involved, so I tilted the kitchen window, and on they came, the new strong winds, blowing all the fumes back into the house. Hubby did an emergency run (it's more an emergency hobbling) to barricade the door of the garage. Something's wrong with the latch, but hubby saw no need for doing repair work- until now. I fear there'll be another night of rattling blinds and howling chimneys, a night I either won't sleep at all or have bad dreams all night long.
Since cooking is all about gout now, I did today's ramen with chicken breast, enough of it to also feed DiL number two and her sons tomorrow. Their car will be at the repair shop, and Cassian wants to exchange kindergarten for Playmobil playing. No cooking will be necessary, we have ramen aplenty and cake. Playmobil, too. There's one more box for Cassian to unpack. Oh, I forgot, there's two. I had ordered one before Christmas, but it had been out of stock then. It arrived two weeks later, and I only found it when going through my boxes- that's a must, if you want to remodel a room.
Hubby needs to replace the plug of the flat iron, or buy a new one. I told him to use the coupon for the repair shop every family got. 50 percent off the price for the reparation of an electrical device- repairing the old one instead of buying a new device. Sounds good to me!
