Just follow the voice within...

 ...and that´s what I did today. I called the vet for Lady Vaire´s medication, even though there was enough to last until Monday. Safety first, I thought, because last year the vet team had headed off on vacation around Easter. I learned that this year the surgery will be closed for a week starting from Rosenmontag. Phew, that was a close call. I picked the medication up at eleven in the morning, just when the last patient before the break was about to leave. Now I have to persuade my cat to not have a healthwise shutdown for the next week plus some days...
Coming back I found that hubby was off again- Cassian has another otitis and had to go to the doctor, so someone had to take care of his younger brother. Meanwhile daughter and I cooked stifado with kritharaki for lunch, even though hubby had bought pork instead of beef. Does not matter to me as long as he does not bring home lamb!
Daughter has returned to her flat now, because she needs to do cooking for tomorrow's dinner- her shift will last from ten to ten, she will have no real lunch break, because so many of her colleagues have called in sick. She could have called in sick, too, because the bad cold she has had has flared back to life, just like mine has, but she's a tough girl and won´t hang her colleagues out to dry- tomorrow is the worst day concerning flight operations of the whole year!
Today I bought some decoration for Easter- a pair of kitschy rabbits and new plastic eggs for the outdoor decoration. From Wednesday on there'll be eggs and even more rabbits and palm willows all around. Then I pruned the last fruit trees (I have exactly four of them, all small ones), took down the last of the winter decoration and wanted to replant the tiny fir trees from the glass jars- only to find that the soil in the pots they were supposed to go in was completely frozen. Has it really been that cold during February? I think it felt like spring those last days!
