...because face palm isn't enough. In Vienna there was mandatory mask wearing in public transport until the end of February, though the rest of the country had given up on it long ago. If police would catch you not wearing a mask, you'd have to pay a punitive fine. Now guess what happened, after the mandatory mask wearing got anulled at the end of February! From March the first police has begun harassing people who do still wear a mask- because now the ban on wearing face coverings overrules mandatory mask wearing. I don´t get it! Currently our politicians are trying to find a solution to the problem- some people are still wearing masks, because they are afraid of catching the so-called pest of the century. I can already see what they will come up with- mask wearing allowed if you have an attestation done by a medic, and, of course, you will have to pay if you want one!
Hubby took his bicycle and rode to the nursery for a blackberry bush, which he will plant on Vaire´s grave. Namo has one already, and we got a lot of fruits from it last year. It was a fine day today with lots of sun and warm temperatures, so I took my allergy pills and went out into the garden, to prepare the soil I want to use for planting- sand, mother soil and compost. In Cassian´s sand bucket I mixed the seeding compost- tomato- and chilli seed is meant to grow in it. Not in the bucket but in those practical plastic containers from our Chinsee takeout, of course, or Cassian would have my head!
Tomorrow number four is supposed to come for a visit. Not sure if he will do so now that cat is no more. It had been mainly for Vaire that he took time off! Anyway, to be on the safe side I cleared his room of most of the boxes. I thought that daughter had shift on Saturday and Sunday, so all boxes went into her room. Turned out that the two shift days are next weekend, and she, too, might be in for a visit. I wish her luck, she will have to find a new way to get to her bed...
Strange things happened in front of the TV yesterday evening- I thought I´d see a shadow slink across the room, then hubby absently tapped at the place on the couch next to him, before he realised that there was no use in tappimng- no cat would hop onto her favourite spot. For a moment we both had been sure that she was still with us, but they say that old habits sie hard. Yet I am still convinced there has been something, and hubby, too! Do we have a ghost cat now?
