Too warm? Yet I love it!
Mar. 18th, 2023 06:47 pmGood that I had a look into the conservatory after lunch- temperatures there were tropical, and the seeds I had planted absolutely dry. So I did water all pots, tore open the windows and even left the door to the living room wide open- no cat will nibble at the plants, with a lot of them toxic. Since we were up to 19 degrees today, I took my after-lunch after-watering nap on a chair on the terrace - I think I already told you that I am very capable of sleeping in a sitting position - but only after I had taken my allergy pills. I did forget about those, when I decided to rake the grass in the garden this morning- sneezing fits took turns with bouts of backache. I think it´s warm enough for the palm- and olive trees getting dragged out to the carport- they won´t have direct sun in there and can easily accomodate to the cooler temperatures. If it get´s too frosty, I can cover them with bubble wrap. But as far as I was able to look into the weather forecast there´ll be no frost until the beginning of April. The moment plants are out glass table will be in the conservatory. Makes sense, because daughter and I will have more space for sorting the pieces of the jigsaw!
Son will arrive in the evening, daughter will come for an early lunch tomorrow, because number four will leave again in the afternoon. It was supposed to be a last day spent with Vaire cat, alas, she did not make it. We will have miso pork with vegetables. At least I can cook a meal which will brighten our mood! We all love miso-ginger pork! I have to admit that I did not think that we´d take the loss of a cat so hard. The younger ones maybe, but we old ones have learned to say goodbye to a lot of people we loved- grandparents, parents, friends- and pets. Apparently it does not get easier in time. Now I regret that I have followed the vet´s advice. She told me that there always is a risk when bringing a younger cat to an old one. And when Vaire went blind it was definible impossible to do so, because she´d never be able to read the other´s cat speak...
