Strange things are happening with nature...

 Nature is in a complete tizzy. When I was a child there was a clear guideline to spring- winter roses and snowdrops then liverleaves, followed by wood anemones- when the last ones were flowering it was indeed Easter time. Sadly winter roses have greatly dwindled in number- I found one plant flowering near son´s house, and that was weeks ago. In my childhood you could find one every few metres. Our garden is devoid of snowdrops thanks to hubby´s mowing mannerisms. But shouldn´t it be the time of liver leaves just now? No, they are already gone, and even the wood anemones have started wilting- the time of cowslips has arrived already! Wow! Even found two of them in our garden, and hubby did NOT mow them down- you´ve heard right, hubby has done a first mowing on Wednesday, and he was three days late- our neighbours beat him again, all of them! This winter was a farce, but now that the fruit trees have begun to open their buds, we are in for another round of snow. Plus there´ll be strong winds! Yuck! Need neither of it! Thankfully we did not bring all plants out into the carport. Temperatures might (or might not) go down to minus five...
Tomorrow it´s early shift for daughter (and me). Hubby has bought us croissants for early breakfast. Sunday will be for resting only and a bit of knitting. I am finishing an old project. BTW, I found a fitting wool for repair work on daughter´s sweater- 100 gramm for 14 Euros, what a bargain! Monday I will have to bring daughter mine to college around Midday, in case the headmaster won´t put the lectures online. It´s a good hour trip by car, might be a bit longer this time, because there´ll be more traffic than usual on A-roads- no busses, no railroads, next to no planes this day in Germany, even motorways might be blocked. Good thing is that on the way home we can have dinner at one of our favourite restaurants!
PS: Strong winds have arrived. Rain, too! Currently all things not properly stored are going from northwest to southeast. Don´t panic, they will come back with the next foehn...
