Successfully unsuccessful

 Today daughter and I had intended to finally attack the task of relocating my computer desk. It was the only day this week she had no lectures. But, of course, there came an obstacle in the form of grandson. Cassian is not allowed to attend kindergarten this week, because he has an inflammation of the eyes and must not spread it among his friends. But remembering this and the fact that Flavius had a follow-up appointment at the hospital the next day at ten in the evening- that´s DiL number two. Hubby picked Cassian up, but deliberately forgot to tell me that he´d be with us all day long (proposition made by hubby himself), so no relocation of the computer desk. I do not need two men put in their two cents! One would have been bad enough! Next try next week- this time daughter and I will maintain a low profile, or hubby will initiate a sleepover for grandson, to hinder us from work! This man cannot cope with changes! I sincerely hope that this is not a sign that husband has inherited Alzheimer- his mother died from it. We did not realise the sickness for a long time, only noticed that she got very upset if someone tried to alter her familiar surroundings...
Needless to say that nothing of importance got done today- again :( We are on day four of the mushroom challenge now. So far we had jelly ears, champignons (for two days), today it was enoki mushrooms, tomorrow it will be a recipe with king oyster mushrooms. And then there´s the bag with shiitake that needs immediate processing. So far I liked the enoki best... Hubby has set off an avalanche when complaining about the lack of mushrooms in our diet. Not quite sure if I have frozen chanterelles in the fridge- but I know that I have dried porcini, which I love best! I think that husband dearest will not ask for more mushrooms for a long time!
