You can't make up such a thing

 Number two and four will get visits from family and friends soon, and none of them has enough beds to have them sleep in. So hubby bought a used fold-up chair you can use as a mattress. He put the cover into the washing machine, and today he wanted to put it back on. After having worked for ten minutes, red in face already, he began to loudly read the washing instructions. Well, there's a bit of a difference between 30 and 40 degrees, but not that much to explain the apparent shrinkage. He continued working- and just before he ripped the fabric I got up, did a 90 degree turn of the foam material, et voilà! Then I quickly left the living room, because hubby definitely would not have wanted to see and hear my outburst of mirth! Get that, this man had held plans for becoming an architect! Question: how many leaning towers does the world need? I think one is enough for sightseeing. With hubby we´d have a lot more! That man definitely has no sense for angles and proportions!

Another batch of insulation boards bought, another batch fitted, more styrofoam pebbles to hunt down! Even the ground floor is a mess with the two of us walking out of and into the house with each new board that needs cutting! And I have finally done a long overdue overhaul on my orchids! Two went into the organic waste bin, four were acceptable, and I even got a layer from one of them which I potted. Orchids are at the bathroom window on the upper floor now, since I do not want them to spread water or dry leaves on the bed below. If I ever manage to drag the bed to the place under the window! But it´s another step in the right direction I have managed! Tomorrow´s goal- next try to shift my desk. Hubby will be off in the morning, to help number two with their guestroom, so no disruptive actions from this side, even though I fear that DiL will invite us for lunch as a compensation. I will have to tell hubby that he, of course, can stay, but I will stay at home!
