Two weeks

It must have been at the end of March when I sawed tomatoes- and now I have ten teensy-weensy seedlings which decided to stay teensy-weensy. Well, today I planted them into fresh soil and told them that they had two more weeks to start growing, or they'd end up in the organic waste bin. Tomatoes are expensive here, for one kilo cherry tomatoes we pay around eight euros. Hubby, daughter and family number two love tomatoes. Family number one is aware that tomatoes exist in burgers from McD... and always remove them. I do not love tomatoes when uncooked, but they are useful. Our garden is not the best one for growing them, but hubby has found a way to keep them safe from snails and rain, and we can save money. If my husband had his way we'd have tomatoes all day long. Imagine the costs... If teensy-weensy tomatoes won't change their mind they will get replaced by big strong ones from the local nursery. I might buy cucumber.plants, too, since prices for them shot through the roof also. And chillies. I sewed some, but those behave even worse than the tomatoes. That's all I will grow this year.
Hubby is back from May feast. The boys had lots of fun with the fire brigade chute. DiL and hubby had fun with the beer. Hubby brought me some grilled chicken. Son number two got half the package of my antibiotics. Medic told me to throw the pills away, since I needed only half of them. Now son has scarlet fever, too- no wonder when the rest of the family had it already!
Strange that it is May already, and we did not have rwal spring until now. May is the month we usually can feel the summer roll in. I had a look at the weather forecast- no summer feelings for the next two weeks. Too bad, I'd love to have some really warm days!
