Where have myl hydrangeas gone

Before we went to Graz on Saturday, I had a look out of the bedroom window- finally hydrangeas had decided to start blooming, around the same time as last year. This winter hasn´t been kind to them, had been too warm and too dry. And the moment the first buddings had showed up, the cold had come rolling in. Three days later we have eight blossoms, and only a few more to come. One of the hydrangeas is practically dead- a few green leaves, no blossoms, a lot of dead branches. Hubby will excavate it in autumn. That's kind of sad, because it takes many years for a hydrangea to grow so big! From then on we will have unimpeded view of neighbour's compost maker, because a lot of plants have been excavated on the other side of the fence, too...
I am dead today. Daughter and I each had alcohol-free radler (beer and lemonade) yesterday evening. From then on the two of us had a competition about who would need the loo more often. What exactly is in a radler that triggers such an excessive need for bladder evacuation? At half past three we met at the bathroom door again and decided to finally call it a night and get up. Doing a crossword puzzle at such an early time was a novum even for me!
The things you see on the streets during night! Driving home from the airport I saw lots of cats (sadly two dead ones also), a marten playing with its prey directly on the only bridge I have to cross, a badger trudging along the roadside and quite a lot of deer on the fields next to the woods. I think I live in paradise, but I need to swap one of my eyes for a camera to be able to take pictures. Fishing out the mobile will not do the trick, those animals will have vanished before the power is turned on!
