It happened again...
Jul. 27th, 2023 07:34 pm When my friend picked me up for our planned shopping tour, it was ten thirty, seventeen degrees cool but with 81 percent humidity. Fortunately I had put on a cardigan, which did soak up the sweat that formed on my skin the moment I left the house. Needless to say that not even shopping did raise our spirits. It was just uncomfortable to walk the short distance between car and shops. Hubby was very surprised when we were back three hours later! We had a long nice chat on our terrace then, even though my friend had suggested a nearby coffee shop. I had declined, with such a weather I might have or have not been able to enjoy a cup of coffee and a slice of cake. To pay for an uncertain outcome is so not my thing! And I do not think that they would have approved of my favourite way of consuming coffee- shoes off and legs up onto the next chair! Friend did the same- our feet hurt, we both had a headache, so being able to behave the way we wanted was a blessing. Hubby even brought us nonalcoholic Aperol spritz, before friend went back home.
I made me a tuna sandwich for lunch-dinner then went up into the bedroom, to watch a youtube vlog or two. What I did was fall sleep from four to almost six- just the way I did last Sunday! Two hours wasted, and I did not even feel more rested! I tried knitting then, but with 80 stitches a row my enthusiasm for needlework is a bit limited. It´s not that I have a deadline now. I think that three out of four jumpers will be ready at the christening/ church wedding, not so sure about the fourth one.
DiL number two has made it to Romania unscathed. If she really wants to accomplish a thing, she will succeed. This cannot be said about her work-related ambitions, because she does not have any! Interesting is also that the moment she is back to Romania she will take the boys to playgrounds, while she does not do so here. Probably she does not want to mingle with people who do not talk Romanian...
Hubby has parked my car in the carport in a very impractical way. When I want to fill my watering can I have to fight my way through the jungle of hibiscus plants now. My skin is itching now that I have watered the tomatoes. I hope there has not been a tick waiting to attack me!
