Boring day with a touch of anxiety

 Not much to do today for hubby and me. Big housework got done yesterday, clearly needed after family number three had left. Hubby did a bit of filling in son´s bathroom but returned early, because the plumber started his work and needed room. Weather was cold but not rainy- yet. We got severe weather alert, but I think (hope) that rainstorms will hit elsewhere. It´s way too old for August, and I feel for those who tried to flee the cold and are now stranded in our country, because almost all border crossings to Slovenia are closed at the moment. What a bummer! My friend came for a visit in the afternoon. She has been downgraded from grandma duty to ironer and the like. Her grandchildren are with her son-in-law´s parents for the next three weeks (SiL wants it this way), while she is supposed to do housework for her daughter, like ironing and cleaning the windows. So friend needed moral support, and we had coffee and cake and a good long talk. Her brother called her while she was here and told her that the big rain has started in Tyrol, too. This might indicate that we are in for a very wet weekend also. Our neighbours are currently barricading their basement stairs. What do they know that I don´t know? That´s indeed a good question...
