False alarm...

 It had been a nice day: no cooking duties (enough Biryani rice balls and cucumber raita left of yesterday's lunch), not much householding to do, weather sunny and hot, pool water clear- I carried my knitting bag onto the terrace and started project 'Kill off the Octopus' dressed in my bathing suit. I did indeed kill the beast, but when I treated myself with a slice of cake I had a look at the dishwasher's display and almost had a panic attack- error report! Having no dishwasher would be the death of my hands. I removed the dishware, which fortunately was clean already, because the only thing that had not happened was the drying process. I scrubbed the filters, and hubby, finally back from afternoon shopping (oh dear, that man can shop!), did the same with the water filter. Then I reset the programme and we waited. Waiting was gruesome, because the shortest programme lasts for more than one hour, but success! Dishwasher is working again!
Our neighbourhood is a loud one, even though only two donkey-family members seem to be at home at the moment. And Julia, Oscar´s playmate in former days is a quiet lady now. Unbelievable, that girl has been so loud once! But we have replacements- there´s one Santiago, practically as old as Cassian, who screeches all day long. I never heard that child talk- screeching is all he does! And there´s the lady who lives in the vet´s house. The lady is old and has two baby cats. One must be missing as of late, because the last two nights and all day long today the lady has been calling for the missing kitten. If the little one made it out of the vet´s garden then it might be lost already, because our wildlife is wild- lots of owls and other birds of prey, martens aplenty, foxes... No bears and wolves yet, and for that I am grateful!
