More grandchildren duty

Well, in hindsight I should have known that there was something cooking the moment hubby began to prepare palatschinken for lunch- we had enough leftovers from Octoberfest to feed three adults. Turned out that DiL had decided that Cassian did not need a visit to the paediatrician, and brought her offspring at 10.30 instead of one in the afternoon. She had told hubby, but, as always, he deliberately forgot to tell me, because he knew I´d breath down his neck.The next three weeks will be my doom, with the children here from morning to evening three days a week, and in case DiL´s colleague will fall ill, which as DiL nonchalently told me, she does quite often, even one or two days more a week.
Daughter and I both have a sore throat and a stomach ache today. Same symptoms at the same time? There can be only one culprit- Cassian, who inherited the germs from his mother. I hope number one won´t kill us, if Oscar has caught up those germs, too! Cassian did not have as much appetite as usual, but was up and running otherwise, so his sickness wasn´that bad. Since he had had extended naps yesterday I did not force him to stay in bed after lunch but went back down, where he got allowed to watch TV for a while. The rest of the afternoon was having gym lessons on the sofas. Dil was the favourite gymnastics apparatus. I think she was not as delighted as her nephews were!
Hubby just brought our grandsons back home to daddy. Mummy has not shown up, neither on our doorstep nor at home. Hopefully the children´s dad has finally made it back home from work! My guess is that tmorrow will be a next try to get the boys stored at our house. No such luck, tomorrow daughter and I will do a trip to Germany, not to do the usual shopping but to meet up with a friend of ours in a museum. A strange marriage hubby and I have- he tours from concert to concert, while I prefer the quiet of a museum!
