Instructor said that this pattern is an easy one- three double crochets from the front around the body of the single crochet one row below, three from the back, repeat, switch at the beginning of the fourth row. Hah! Never in my life have I been forced to unravel this often! My fault, of course, when my mantra ´three from the front, three from the back' falls on my deaf ears, and though mantra-ing along I happily crochet from the front too often! I should long ago have come to the end of those deadly boring rows, but no, there's three more of them to do!
I decided to quit crocheting and went into the garden instead- and had a sneeze attack of epic proportions. Hubby was laughing so hard that I was ready to strangle him, but I had my hands full of tissues. What the heck is flowering now at the end of October! I went inside again- much better! Google says stinging nettles- we have huge clusters of them at the nearby building lot bought by some wealthy people's son. Lot hasn't met a mower for five years at least! I have made use of my antiallergic nosedrops, because it would have been a shame to keep the doors and windows closed, when it's so warm outside!
No grandchildren duty today- their daddy has taken the job. Hubby brought the boys´ bicycles to their house, so that daddy could do some outdoor activity, even though I think that number two was fine with lying on the sofa and watch the two play or fight. He´s the one who comes back home late from work and needs some rest! But they'll be here tomorrow, because the exhibition got extended- the Romanian ambassador will come late for a visit, as always.
When hubby was off I sanded then painted the desk for a second time. Hubby had a fit when he noticed that I cleaned the brush in the washbasin and did not run outside, to turn the garden hose on and clean it in an old tin he kept in the garage. Aha! Now I wonder where those people who do not have a garden and a hose clean their painting utensils! Not a speck of black was to be found in the basin, nor on my fingers, because you only need water and soap to remove the colour!
I forgot about my after-lunch nap today, because I was so fixated on painting. Not good, when I intend to watch today´s rugby semi-final. I have been watching a lot of games lately, but slept off during the second half-time and went to bed, before the game was completed. Today´s game might prove interesting, but without a good nap after lunch the outcome is uncertain. But there´s always hubby who can tell me the end result- he´s too loud even for my senescent ears when going to bed. I can rely on him- he will find an obstacle between bedroom door and bed he can bump into!
