The woes of crocheting

 No clue how I am able to do this- I finished the first part of the ridge row with the correct number of stitches but was short of eight the next row. Unravel, repeat- five stitches too many- unravel again, repeat. Three stitches missing. What the... three stitches one can cover, at least so I thought, but... the diamond pattern which follows goes three rows down, where some stitches were still non-existent. In the middle of the row the diamonds began to look a bit odd... I stopped for the day to clean my computerdesk, where I will put the throw to count once again. Tomorrow.  Trouble enough for today!

I have been searching for my callus remover all afternoon. I know that I put him (I named him Rowdy) into a box together with the shaver when remodelling the studio. Bad enough that I haven't missed the two for so long! Maybe I should give Cassian license to pry. Pretty sure he'd be delighted! And this boy will definitely find the box (and more)!

I will get a visit from a friend tomorrow. We had to postpone our shopping trip- bye, bye new crochet hook- because there's not room enough to fit it into our daily schedules- we both have grandchildren duty way too often! BTW- hubby drove to family number two. DiL is not feeling well and needs someone to occupy the boys, so that she can lie down. Must be the stress of having to be at the exhibition three times a week, which counts as working. Or she has had one glass too many at the finissage. 

I just noticed another problem- family number three will be here from Friday (if I have bad luck fronm Thursday on) to Sunday. Now guess who won´t be able to watch the rugby finals! Of course, I could turn the TV in the livingroom on, but bear in mind that DiL and grandson are asleep in the guestroom and can hear each cheering done by hubby and me. Next problem is son, who does not like rugby. I could watch the games in the studio- and have defaming afterwards, because I won´t spend time enough with the family living apart. And then there´s the impromptu Halloween party on Saturday, which will most likely render me bone-tired, even though guests will leave early because of their children. Not fair- I see family number three more often than I am able to watch a rugby final, yet it seems impossible at the moment to get what I want:(
