Hubby is livid, as he has every right to be so- Alexa informed him about an attempted delivery of the new sandsacks he had ordered on Amazon. Forget about DPD- they said the attempt had been at 11:30, when hubby had been out in front of our entrance door, talking to our neighbours. Hubby is searching for an option to complain vigorously but does not find any. It´s not okay, neither for hubby nor for me- he cannot fill in the sand from the throughs, and I will have to vacuum what makes it over the edge of the trough, after hubby is done with sand playing for one more day. Hubby has prepared his secret weapon- the wildlife camera we have bought some time ago. If tomorrow we will have the same scenario- definitely possible, as son had the same woes with DPD- we will have proof that no one from this enterprise has even made it to our house! Now I am a bit nervous- I haven´t yet looked at who will deliver my parcel, which should be a bigger one. Cassian will be delighted- he wanted a Christmas tree for the studio, to be able to look at it when he sleeps here. Fine with me, even though I hope that his parents will keep him for a while. Bad enough that hubby is already arranging meetings with his cousins, at our house (now who would have thought this), to do Christmas crafting with grandma. I wonder if anyone has thought of asking grandma in the first place!
I, too, have a cold now thanks to hubby generously spreading his germs, ignoring what we all have learned during times of Covid. It´s hard to crochet, when you have to blow your nose so often, but at the moment I am ignoring the discomfort and carry on. The worst rows are to come soon enough, not because the pattern will be difficult but because the throw will be so heavy!
Lunch was still green beans and minced meat Szechuan style- quite spicy, just the way I love it. Spicy is good when you have a cold. And good that no sausages dared to show up. Tomorrow it will be hot and sour soup. Shiitake and black fungus are already soaking. And if hubby complains- he is the one who always runs for this soup in a Chinese restaurant!
