It's back and working!
Jan. 5th, 2024 06:53 pm No grandchildren duty today- Flavius got ill during night. Bad for the young man, but good for hubby and me. I was not feeling complete since our coffee maker had collapsed- caffeine withdrawal is a bad thing! Husband packed the device into his car in search of a repair shop, which was on duty for more than one day a week. Found one, brought the device back two hours later. So good to be back to four coffees a day! Tea in the morning is not as nice as a double espresso! Daughter's old coffee maker had not worked either- now both are up and running again.
Daughter came late morning to pick up toiletries and, of course, stayed for lunch. Somebody must have told her that we were to have Jjamppong- and I wondered, why hubby had doubled mussels and shrimps! After lunchtime daughter left for work- as long as she won't find a job interesting her, she will do occasional work at the airport and continue writing her thesis.
Good that our house is in good shape inside and outside! I will have two neighbours come for the drink we did not have on New Year's Eve, and outside it's said to get very windy during night. Yay, another night of the rattling blinds! And since Serbian- Orthodox Christmas will start tomorrow evening, we will see more fireworks during night. There are two big families living in houses down the next street who will be celebrating all night long, and the next day also...
