Got a Whatsapp message from son number two this morning: Mum, I think I should hate you! Apparently Cassian has begged him repeatedly to play the video clip I showed him when he was at our house. It's harmless, but definitely annoying when seen too often. And it's the one that has woken me from sleep, because it's also annoying when it appears in your dreams. But the boy loves it...

I woke up to heavy rain, and soon strong winds joined forces with wet weather. I had to rearrange the plants on the table in front of the kitchen window. The budding daffodils don't appreciate getting blown over all the time. They also don't like Schnuckele sitting on them, when the cat is intent on forcing her way into the house by staring through the window pane. At least one pot of daffodils is safely stored in a glass container. The pother pot has to hide behind it...
Since the weather was not appealing for outdoor activities like pruning apple- and mirabelle trees I continued with crocheting. No fun at the moment- my eyes are a bit puffy because of allergies, and the fine fibers of the wool irritate them even more. At the moment it's crochet then rub- repeat. But I am intent on finishing that monster throw, even though mine won't be a monster, because it will be only two thirds in length- we don't need a blanket but a throw only.
Our DiLs have found a new job for husband- he does pick-up service for them. Just bought ski poles for Oscar at Willhaben- can you pick them up and bring them? Forgot my headphones yesterday, would you mind to bring them over? Need potatoes for dinner, mine went bad- could you please buy new ones for me, the boys are asleep! Potatoes gone bad are in tomorrow´s vegetable soup now, at least a small compensation for all that ruckus! And no cooking for me tomorrow. But son number three called and told me that he´ll come on Friday evening, to see Die Hohe Jagd, a trade fair for hunters and the like. I hope he does not want to buy another deer rifle- he already has two! Thankfully I have not yet stripped the bed in the guestroom down- I hate this job, it kills my back!
Today I saw this terrible tomcat that livens our nights up- it was limping across our lawn, dripping wet but doing his battle cries, as usual. Poor guy is well-fed but scratched all over from all those fights! Definitely not fixed, which is law here for outdoor cats! Haven´t seen his adversaries yet, but I think that they won´t look much better!
