A whole house covered in wall panels...
Jun. 21st, 2024 03:49 pm ...got de-panelled today. And in another garden next to ours workers started to take the roof off of a huge carport to replace it with a new one. Oh boy, the noise was horrible. And all that after a night filled with the noise of too many cars, mostly hailing from neighbouring countries, which are to use the motorway but won't because of the huge jam provoked by the construction site there. Sounded as if the street was moving straight under our bed...
After breakfast I remembered that daughter had left us her work uniform for washing. Hubby hung it up on the terrace- and half an hour later it was back in the washing machine- a first thunderstorm had sent it flying onto the grass, and it was in a worse state than it had been before. It´s now drying inside, because after the first thunderstorm there came another, and at the moment we are at number three. Not that the workers have stopped the loud de-panelling...
Hubby insisted on me cooking Chinese fried noodles without spicy ingredients. WTF, that´s nearly impossible and definitely not recommendable! Thanks to daughter dearest we are in the possession of a chili oil that will spice up lunch which is more meant for dinner for our grandchildren. Once upon a time the boys did not bat an eye when I put some spicy ingredients into our shared meals. Now mummy´s I-don´t-like-spicy cooking has a bad effect on both. Ooops, they just noticed that I am typing on my PC, so this entry has come to an end...
