Sep. 18th, 2024 06:31 pm During night I went through a lot of fanfiction on Ao3. Found one that would make even Tolkien envious- the longest sentence was over 18 lines. I had to reread it a few times and add punctuation marks to finally be able to apprehend what the writer wanted to tell us. hilarious!
Not much happened today. I was off to the drugstore after breakfast- forgot to buy my calcium tablets yesterday, which in my case are vital for life. Drove to the bank afterwards to draw money for son´s PC- a surprise gift for his birthday. Back home I did housework, pre-prepared lunch then went to the conservatory, to continue with the jigsaw. The end is near but not near enough. We had a lot of idiotic jigsaws, but this is the worst!
Number three sent us a list with items we have to take with us, when we come to work on the ruined house on Saturday. In the vicinity of twenty kilometres there is not a single shop that did not get flooded. Sorry, one did survive, but has not much to offer, because almost everything is sold out. No wonder!

wiseheart asked me, if all of son´s family are impractical. Can you see me nodding? Too bad! Because son called me in the morning, to report what´s going on- most of the furnishing ended in a container, army members were removing the wooden floor, the garage got cleared out- and those looneys did indeed put the desiccators in there instead of placing them in the living room. Or the bedroom. Or the children´s rooms. I don´t think that the family will live in the garage from now on! Of course, it´s a huge garage made for two cars and has an intermediate floor, but still...
In the afternoon my daughter´s godmother called- she was in her older son´s flat supervising the removal of the furnishing there. Son decided practically overnight (or so he told her) to migrate to Dubai with her grandson. She is shell-shocked. I would be, too!
