Plans do change...
Oct. 5th, 2024 04:41 pm ...and quickly so. Son arrived later than expected- the usual delay with our trains- so I stayed up late to do proper conversation with my son. We decided upon opening a bottle of red- and clumsy as I am I managed to cut my thumb with the metal wrapping. Not the first time, but apparently I won´t learn from my mistakes. I stayed up really late and promptly did not fall asleep then. When I had finished breakfast and showering my car was off already and did not come back. I had completely forgotten that hubby had to do a tour to look for a new fridge. Yesterday when up in the studio I heard a loud bang from downstairs- all compartments of the fridge´s door had crashed, one taking down the next and the next- a veritable chain reaction. Hubby´s fault- it´s him who stuffed them full with bottles. As always. As if water out of the pipe was poisonous. Oh, I forgot- no bubbles in the pipe! Bad for him, good for me- I don´t like bubbles, except in sparkling wine. Then I love them! I started cooking lunch without son, of course, because this one was fast asleep still. I have to admit that was quite mad when hubby finally returned, because it was time for lunch already, and after lunch son needed my car for himself. Forget about Müller, I told myself and went upstairs to communicate with daughter dearest, who was at work but quite bored. Müller problem got solved because daughter was about to send an order to the shop and simply added mine. She will bring the goods, when she comes for her next early shift. Not tomorrow, when she will come, too, for the game. Number two will add beef roulades to the menue- his wife has bought so much of the meat that he has to get down to action and do some cooking himself. At least number four and five will have roulades for taking them home and skip cooking, if only for one day.
When sister came a few days ago she brought mum´s old Christmas pyramid. Sadly a third of the figurines are missing. I was ready to dispose of it, when hubby suggested to replace them with those wooden Christmas tree danglers which will get sold soon by Aldi and the like. And do the missing railings by using chipped wood. Since I do not know what to craft with my friend this might be a task she, too, will like. She never took the things we crafted with her, she only needs to be occupied during the long, dark days! And I will have a second pyramid to decorate the house with!
