Aspirin day, once again...
Oct. 7th, 2024 06:03 pm Foehn started during night. Not wreaking havoc by blowing things across the lawn, but strong enough to cause a headache with me. Breakfast, aspirin, lunch, aspirin it was. For the first time a formidable cough has not caused a veritable headache, and now this...
Son sent me a press handout to look over. Once again I was impressed of the technique of saying so little in so many complicated sentences. Must be a special talent, son should write a novel! After adjusting some phrasings I began to clean the bedroom. Summer clothing is back in boxes on top of the wardrobe now. The carpets are all vacuumed, laminate is mopped. Bed has clean sheets again. Commode and books got dusted. I have put aside wool which I will need for the advent wreath. It's a big surprise the boys and I will work on. And it has been Cassian's idea! The best part is that I will need golden foil, which I will get by buying Ferrero Rochers. Eating will get done by the boys, my job will be carefully unwrap the chocolate. Cassian and Flavius volunteered to do the shopping with me. I see where this is going!
Since the weather was very fine today because of the foehn hubby took his bike and was off for grocery shopping. Never knew that I was in need of Halloween articles, but we have glow-in-the-dark gloves, gitd ghosts which will go onto the windows and a lot more of gadgets I never ordered but the boys will love. Plus there´s a new inflatable pool-seat for next summer. And a huge pot of white asters that will go to mum's gravesite. I wish I had seen hubby coming back home loaded like a pack mule!
Since I was otherwise occupied I only went to the conservstory for jigsawing around four in the afternoon- and noticed that it was almost too dark to do so! That's what we get living in the shadow of the hillside. A bummer, because the jigsaw has to be finished before Halloween- I need the place for the buffet then!
