Yesterday evening I worked a long time on the pictures and was ready to slay my printer, which would have been so very unfair, because it was my PC which acted unreasonable. Son told me via mobile how to tackle the problem, but it's definitely no fun to have to go back and change the settings with each new picture. I have to admit that I went down to the TV after the war of wills, poured me a glass of wine and slept until eleven o'clock. Went to bed then and naturally did not sleep for a while, which turned me into a very grumpy lady this morning, and my mood did not get any better when I did a look outside! To prevent disaster in form of cats peeing onto the fir twigs husband had placed those onto the paper bin. Only that during night we got strong winds and heavy rain. The twigs stayed on top of the bin, but they were soaking wet now. Oh joy, that made a mess of Advent wreath binding. The tiles (tiles I hate because I love the feeling of carpet or wood under my feet) were useful for once- water and needles were easily wiped away. The wreaths look nice- mine delicate, as always, my friend's a compact clump of evergreens- as always, too. I will have to buy more twigs or take garden shears and cut some branches off of neighbour's thujas and mix them with the artificial greens I have decorated with straw stars. I also did five bundles of fir twigs decorated with bells for the garden fence. When my friend left I took the cord I had bought yesterday and wanted to wind it around the fence. Turned out that I did this decoration for nothing- while my friend and I worked inside husband dearest installed a chain of lights just in the place the cord and the twigs should have gone. That man drives me crazy! Now I will have to search for a new place for the decoration...
Tomorrow we will have the boys after kindergarten. It's also the day the gold wraps of the Rochers will be put to use. I hope that we will be successful and the outcome worth a picture! But the most important thing is that the boys will have fun. Doing snitches, decorating candles, cutting pictures out- that's what they love. I won't tell them that Saturday and Sunday will be baking time. Time for the classic cookies like Husarenkrapferl and Vanillekipferl- last time I did them Cassian was very creative with the dough, making dinosaurs and other strange things. Half of the dough got wasted this way...
