Nov. 30th, 2024 07:33 pm My stomach is still acting up. Last time I was in contact with our grandchildren was Sunday. Maybe one of them brought in some virus caught in school or kindergarten. There´s a lot of bugs going round at the moment! I felt completely drained without having done one thing of importance. The only thing I managed was wrestle Ashmael 3 into obedience, until I was able to print out the templates for this year´s children Christmas tree. For a while I wondered if there was enough print colour left, but all worked well. Now all I need is colourless vanish and thin cardboard. And a lot of patience in finding the new set of scissors I bought a week ago. Damn, why do my scissors seem to be on the run, even the new ones which haven´t yet seen the horror that will be put upon them as soon as the boys get their hands on them?
The boys did well with consumating the Ferreros- the gold foils where enough to wrap all the styrofoam balls I managed to buy in the garden centre. There are five Ferreros left I will have to hide from hubby. This man would live off sweets only, if possible. Sweets and meet and salads, what a combination!
Both Avent wreaths are done now, the second one practically a clone of last year´s one, only the colour of the candles has changed. After yesterdays´s hard work I was definitely not inspired to conjure up a different one. Besides, I love the stags, even though I´d prefer to have a doe, too.
Hubby was terrorising his two oldest grandsons- he wanted to know their wishes for Christmas. I had just begun to nap in front of the TV- in the afternoon! That´s a novelty for me, because I dislike watching TV during day, abysmal TV programme is what we get here all week long. Out of the blue hubby began to do calls, but no one did answer. I closed my eyes and ears again to continue my nap, when unfortunately both grandsons called back. Son number one was the last one to call and informed husband that the presents had already been bought and all he´d have to do is deposit the money for those. Ouch, that´s not what hubby had wanted, but efficient and time-saving. Our children cannot imagine that there are people around who have too much time to waste (pensioners, what else) and will do all shopping in advance. Poor hubby, bereaved of additional PC time! Oh well, he will find another topic. Like getting me the book I wish for Christmas...
