Slow days are good ones they say. So I got up half an hour after hubby, had a long, nice, breakfast then had a spa morning in the steam shower. Got ready just in time to leave for a short visit to family number one- it´s DiL´s birthday today. We brought a Sachertorte and Kindersekt plus the obligatory spring flowers. Were with the family for a good hour (which is one hour too much, when our grandchildren are in fighting mood). Lunch (fried pork) came straight out of the freezer, got defrosted in the oven. Together with roasted potatoes it was more than okay. I still have a slightly blocked nose, and my olfactory sense is not at its best- so cooking is a nuisance at the moment. Afterwards I had a short nap, and when I woke I did more reading of the Rickman diaries. Finally got up, went down for another coffee then tackled the second bag of Hogwarts Lego. I have to say that Cassian is way better a builder than I am, but I made it through the instruction. At four in the afternoon it was already quite dark outside- it was a day with no sun, many clouds and a bit of rain. At least it was still warm, though not as warm as yesterday. As long as no winter is in sight I will be content. Though I am pretty sure that we will get the most of snow in March, as always. Our mirabelle tree will give thanks to this new scheme of seasons by not producing any fruits. As always, again. So after Lego building I retreated to the upper bedroom once again and searched for more options for a throw by the help of my tablet PC. The first one I fell in love with is too complicated, the second one I wanted to do was too narrow, and I am way too lazy to write my own instruction for a broader one. What I do not understand is the fact that the lady who does those tutoring videos never tells us how wide her throws will get in the end. We only get to know how much wool we will need and which needle size to use, but never the size of the outcome, even though it would be of great use!
