Hubby brought me two old boxes with Lego bricks. After breakfast and a thorough house cleaning- son did the floor, hubby the dusting and I scrubbed the bathrooms- I continued with the darn tower. Son and I found a way to build around the missing pieces (save for the main door, which will stay forever unlocked). After a very short period of after-lunch resting- doing proper beef escalope takes some time, one might get tired from cooking alone- I took the box with the bricks and the tower to the living room and continued building. Way warmer in there! Blessedly no bricks were missing from then on and I was able to finish before son got up from his prolonged nap. Hubby, who was still on the couch reading, might have heard one or two swear words, but I think he got used to it after being married to me for almost 48 years. Unfortunately he got up and did a proper airing of the living room, which ended in a lengthened sneeze attack on my part- oh yes, alder bloom is in full swing already! I had to cancel my drive to the newspaper kiosk and the supermarket- driving while sneezing permanently is unrecommended, dangerous even! So tomorrow will be the day- pharmacy first for antiallergic nose and eye drops, my monthly magazines then and new puzzle magazines.
My sister is back from Berlin and calling twice a day since then. She wants to meet, I don´t. Glad that I still have the sniffles- her husband won´t go anywhere where those reside! Who says that old white men are dumb? We will or will not meet on Saturday. I am counting on my allergy...

Btw, that´s the final version of Barad-dûr
