What the f... again
Mar. 10th, 2025 05:56 pm Hubby got up very early- he had a list of groceries to shop for, all on special offer. People are drawn to such offers- no wonder, with prices like the present ones! But he had to take a shower before, had to air-dry his hair, before he wandered to the garage for his bike. I had an agenda of my own- one shop was selling templates for crafting with kids. I decided to take my shower in the evening, dressed and went to my car- only to see hubby bringing a bucket with water to the garage, because he had a flat tyre and wanted to find the culprit. So it was I who had to do the shopping tour, and when I finally came to the shop where I had intended to go first the templates were sold out. Blimey! They might or might not get more of them tomorrow, but it might not be worth the drive, I fear. Back home I found the bike tyre dangling from a dining chair, the smell of bonding agent permeating the air- our dining area had gotten turned into a bike work shop. But hubby also had found the problem which caused yesterday´s disastrous DVD watching- one of the plugs plugged to a plug had been defect, hence the strange sounds that came out of the TV. It´s been replaced- next me-time will be in April, for five days then, when hubby will do the trip to Amsterdam. Life must hate me...
I did a revision of our fridge´s content- oh boy, there´s a lot that needs imminent consumption! Salmon, herring, Swabian pockets, filo pastry and much else. Our meal plans got turned upside down by Dil giving us so much leftovers from Elsa´s birthday party!
After lunch both hubby and I fell asleep instead of resting only. I woke at half past three, made me a cup of coffee and retreated to the studio for surfing and LJ entry. That´s when a veritable thunderstorm- storm being the operative word- made me make a run to daughter´s room, where one of the dormer windows had gotten ripped open, and rain made it into the room. I so hate those windows, but purchasing new ones will cost a fortune. Why hubby had wanted triangular windows will be a riddle forever. And even more why I agreed...
