Now guess...
Mar. 20th, 2026 06:20 pm ...who did not go to the flea market today but sent hubby instead! Eight in the morning was too early for me to function, besides, the last time I attended a flea market it was more like Look only, don´t buy- there´s not a thing I might need, but there were quite a lot of functional things I got rid of by donating them. Hubby came back with a brandnew work coat (blue this time instead of boring grey) and two jigsaws- 2000 and 3000 pieces, if all made it into the box. I was a bit sceptic, but since husband mine discovered the calming effect of jigsaws I already assumed that he´d go for them. The only problem is that there are still two jigsaws of mine waiting to get put together, yet there´s only one room for jigsawing. It´s about time that hubby converts number four´s room into one for common use. Number four lives in a flat in Graz at the moment, and if he comes for a visit there still will be a bed for him in his former room. The only thing which needs changing is the narrow corner desk and a cupboard which is NOT black.
Husband mine insisted on fish for lunch and took cod fillet out of the freezer. No, I did not simply fry it and serve it with potato salad (Mutti-kocht style). I made fillet à la Bordelaise on red onions and boiled potatoes. It turned out extremely well...
In the afternoon I changed the bedding then opted for a short, Silan-induced nap, while hubby was biking. Then I grabbed the floor wiper and did the overdue damp cleansing of the laminate in the upper rooms. It´s a highly delicate procedure, because if the wiper is too wet you will need new laminate. This I only managed once, and hubby caught me in time and only had to replace a few boards. Since then I am very careful when doing this task. Don´t want to risk hubby having a heart attack!
Friend from yesterday called in the early evening- she has been at an Easter market in Upper Austria and found me a pink lady rabbit for decorating. I am absolutely flabbergasted- pink lady rabbits are a hit this year. Only that I so need a male, not-pink one for my flock of females...
