Uneventful, as always
Mar. 22nd, 2026 07:18 pm The so-called highlight of the day was that sneezing is back, and how! Gone are the days, when rain had washed the pollen out. Sneezing will get better again next week, when after a short period of spring winter will make a comeback. And how! So typical that hubby has arranged early change of tyres- his car tomorrow, mine on Friday. And there are four early shifts to do. Okay, the shifts will get done by daughter, the driving (in snow, probably) by me. Thank you, hubby!
All I did today was continue with the jigsaw and cook a proper spring lunch. Daughter came early and will stay till Wednesday. First thing she did was drag the summer tyres from the basement to hubby's car- she insists on doing that job for years now. As a reward she got most of the asparagus (hubby quit because of gout). We rested in front of the TV, before daughter tackled the jigsaw, which is almost complete now. Alas, one piece, a very prominent one, is definitely missing. All that's left are black pieces in different shapes. The missing one is strikingly blue. We have already searched the carpets, the tiles under the carpets, the flower pots. That darn thing has either been missing from the beginning or slipped into a trouser pocket and ended up in the washing machine, to never be seen again. If this is the case daughter and I will have to be creative and design a replacement...
Tomorrow will be a no-cooking day for me- hubby has ordered two Too Good To Go boxes from a nearby Chinese restaurant. Asparagus cream soup went into the fridge and will get eaten on Tuesday...
