Before going into seclusion, I decided to reread a part of Storm Constantine´s most familiar book, because I intended to overhaul my version of this episode. Still wish I hadn´t done it. Something is wrong with this part. Terzian is visibly shaken because of Gahrazel´s death. Kind of funny, if you have a close look at the rest of the story. Terzian is the one who kills Gahrazel. Terzian has intercourse with the dying Gahrazel. Terzian rips out the poor lad´s heart and eats it, together with Gahrazel´s father. So far, so good. Everybody applauds because the villain is finally caught. But is Gahrazel´s ghost telling the truth? If so, we have a bit of a problem. Gahrazel is poisoned. Terzian needs a special unguent to protect him when he violates his body. Gahrazel kind of decomposes in the wake of the poisoning, and the Varrs are able to eat his heart without biting the dust? Not credible, the poison would have spread in the body, sending them to kingdom come. Now that Terzian and Ponclast are dead, Swift becomes their leader but doesn´t mate with Seel, there´s no need of reproducing, Ashmael is happy because there´s no war to fight, Cobweb gets rid of Calanthe the moment Terzian is six feet under and Storm Constantine doesn´t write the third book of the Wraeththu Chronicles, because quite a number of her characters have already popped their clogs. See, that´s the way my mind works!
