I had to pick up more prescriptions for Namo cat today, because vet will be on vacation from Thursday on. When I arrived she just had begun to castrate a she-cat. I would have to wait at least 20 minutes in the waiting room- or assist her. I opted for assisting, which was quite interesting. The size of the uterus was amazing for such a small creature, but vet told me it that this was normal for a cat in heat. Our she-cats had outdone themselves when I had them fixed. The smallest one had reopened the wound the day after the operation so that her innards seemed to well forth. I packed her into the pet carrier and brought her to the vet, who was to stitch her up again. When I came back home number two too had sucessfully removed her stitches. Back to the vet, stitches now done with metal threads. Back to the vet in the evening, both cats had managed to bite out a few threads. From then on it was space collar and cat jump suit. Vaire and Nienna got confined to the upper bathroom which held no cat tree, because both managed to topple from it then, their front legs often entangled in the fabric. That had been one hell of a week!
Yesterday I tried to turn on the aircon. Nothing. Nada. Turned out that hubby had not yet "unpacked" it after last year´s renovation work. He better do it now. One night in a hot sleeping room is enough. And even though there´s rain predicted for the night, it is 28 at the moment. Since I have been away in the afternoon there has been no one at home who was thoughtful enough to close the blinds, so the room is way too warm again!
