Yay! Finally! We did it!

My hometown is under quarantine from Friday on! No one out without a valid covid test! Best thing is that they never told us about the rising numbers of people tested positive before they cooped us in. That´s the new game we have now. So no Elsa next week, and highly probable no Romanian Easter for us. Testing roads have been booked out two hours after we have been told of the impending doom! For now we are to stay inside the town´s borders, at least until May 9th. Huzzah! We will stock up on toilet paper. You want to know why? Many of our favourite shops are out-of-town, and I fear there´s more to come!

I fear that this prolonged game of open-closed will stay for a while! Hopefully not for forever!

Oddly, in many ways I quite enjoy the lockdown periods — no need to plan anything other than the shopping so we cn eat, nobody arriving on the doorstep unexpectedly and so on. But I begin to tire of it a little when we get to about 6 weeks.

Unfortunately next weekend I have two appointments I better not miss! What I do not have is a date for testing, because they are all booked out. Must be because half of the nearest testing facilities are out of town, and you cannot go there, because you have no valid Covid test at hand to pass the town´s border... This is catch-22!
