Covid tests here are valid for 48 hours. So when daughter-in-law number two told us she´d bring Cassian so that she´d be able to do the testing without having to chase after her son I did not think much- at first. Then she got tested first then came for a visit. Only when she had left I did the maths. Getting tested at five means she´ll have to leave about 16.45 tomorrow, because at 5PM her test will no longer be valid, and it will take her 15 minutes to the town´s borders. It´s not about the cooking, hubby and daughter have promised to help so that we can eat at 2 o´clock. Son got tested today, so he is in no hurry, but I wonder if his wife will for once be able to leave in time. Bibi is unpunctuality herself. She´d be late to her own funeral. I do not even want to envision what will happen if she is late this time. Rules are strict- no valid test, no voyage out.
I had to restock on wool for the baby blanket today, so I left town five minutes before my test lost validity. And- huzzah- today was the day when baby wool was half prize only! Wool is quite expensive here. Bamboo yarn is extraordinarely expensive, though I do not know why. Bamboo yarn would be the best for Cassian who suffers from neurodermatitis. Next time I might order via LoveCraft. The bamboo yarn I want is half the price I´d have to pay in my favourite wool shop. And there´s no acrylic in it...now I will have to read their terms of shipment. Maybe my friend will order some wool also, then the shipping charges won´t be that high!

Our lives have become truly bizarre due to the pandemic. *sigh*

Good news about the wool, though! Getting stuff for half price is always a real delight, isn't it? Living in a big city, I can't even imagine what it might be like to get to the shops if you can't leave the place where you reside. Not that I'd get any further than the supermarket on the next corner, due to my family situation, but still...

I am glad that I made my purchase the day wool was half prize. Did not even know about the special offer. And yes, it is bizarre when you have to adjust your shopping excurses to Covid tests!
