When I got up for the first in the morning I found Namo cat on the bathroom floor. He did not want to move, and I knew the time had come to let him go. Not with number four, to whom he had belonged from the day he had been born. So son will come tomorrow afternoon, to say a proper goodbye to his beloved pet. Then daughter told me that she had failed her second try at a test, and that she did not know yet if the third and last one she did was successful. I had a fit then opened the daily newspaper. Reading usually makes me blow off steam, but not what I read this time- an obituary that told me that our former neighbour's husband had died unexpectedly. Just a few days ago I saw him working hard by digging around the old house. Unexpected, indeed. He was 68, one year older than hubby. Another couple that never was able to live out the dreams they had planned for retirement. First work and only a few trips together, then Corona, and now nothing at all. Makes me very pensive- I now know of three wedded pairs where the husband died. And two that got a divorce, because Corona ´revealed´that they were not made for each other.

And how sad about your previous neighbour — at our age the covid years are making life plans disappear all too often.
