This is my Santa. Or, better, my overly tall Christmas elf. DiL number one has banned Santa. She has not yet banned the Christmas elves. Phew! My elf has a beard, he has a fur collar. But I cannot do the trim of the coat. Maybe I will cut out the white parts at the seam and do red only. I am fed up with embroidery and the handicraft shop. It´s not them who do the packages, but they better have warned me that the producer has exchanged the colours!
PS:I found white mercerized yarn in my sewing box, but it is not as thick as the white one I have used until now. I will have to wait until tomorrow, to see if this will work!

Was für ein Problem hat dein Schwiegertochter mit dem Nikolaus? Zu katholisch für sie?
Und ja, es ist fast unmöglich den selben Garn zu finden, wenn du hast alles aufgebraucht und noch mehr wären trotzdem nötig.
Mensch, es ist so schön mal wieder Deutsch zu schreiben, entschuldige...

Bei ihr gibt es nur das Christkind. Santa ist böse, obwohl es das Christkind praktisch nirgendwo sonst gibt. Stell dir vor, ein kleines Kind im bauschigen Nachthemd , das abends Geschenke verteilt- das Jugendamt würde sofort ausrücken!

Ich hab's mir gerade vorgestells — und mich schief gelacht!
Hier bei uns das Christkind ist dasselbe wie das Baby Jesus, und der tolerates den Nikolaus ohne Probleme. Ein ehemaliger Bischof ist gute Gesellschaft...
