Hubby is off with number two´s family, son is at work- and because daughter´s room is ready for moving in and nothing important is to do at the moment I felt very bored for a short time. That was until I remembered I had not yet bought a small present for the newest addition to the family. And just when I was about to turn my PC on and search for it on Amazon I remembered that DiL had once given me a few strands of wool. She had done so in hope that I might knit something for her first baby son. The wool was not exactly the colour I would use on a small child, but it was clearly important to her that I´d use it- it had belonged to her mother once, who had died when DiL was a child still. I searched in my stock of wool and promptly found the strands- black, turquoise and a tiny ball of the colours entwined. I decided that I´d do a sweater for grandchild number five. What I did not know was that it is so hard to find a knitting pattern in the WWW! Blessedly I am a fast knitter, so I will have two more days to find one, before it might be a tight squeeze. I reckon with two days of knitting, one for sewing up and washing. I should have a plan until Monday, the day I am off to Munich to pick up and bring home daughter dearest. Until now I have been unsucessful in finding a fitting pattern in the right size, but hope dies last, they say! Yet I found my old harp hidden in daughter´s room. I haven´t played it in two years now, haven´t even missed it. See, that´s what Covid does to a person like me- I have lost interest in things I loved to do, like making music! Now I have to search for my harp tutorial also! But let´s take one thing at a time! Sweater first tutorial then...

You should contact [livejournal.com profile] badly_knitted and tell her I sent you. She has the most unlikely knitting patterns and might be able to help out.

Thanks for your help, but I found a foto with a fitting pattern. Turned out that the turquoise yarn is quite scratchy, that´s why I searched hard and long to find a pattern I´d be able to use with only a bit of the scratchy wool in it1
