We need sugar!

Hubby was in three shops in Germany, to get jam sugar. They only had the 2:1 and 3:1 sort available. I want the 1:1 jam sugar. So husband started searching for it in shops here- and got the last two sachets in the shop. Huzzah- only that now it´s to late for doing jam. My sister has just left with her family, I am typing the daily entry then I will do cream cheese with shrimps, dill and crackers for the big Champions league final in the evening. That´s the last cooking for the day. I have already done apricot- blueberry crumble, spicy carrot soup and spaghetti with garlic and olives. After that I will have to turn on the gas heating- it´s eleven degrees only. So nice that the Ice Saints are back again! Weather in May has been strange- too hot days followed by too cold ones in quick succession, livens up your bloodstream! The older I get the more strenuous this feels for me! Yesterday 26, now 11, tomorrow it might be a ten only...
We just had a discussion about new heating systems, because, you will know already, that gas is bad for the environment. Besides, we don´t have any of our own. So a wood chip heating system in a region with lots of trees sounds interesting. Wood chips can be a blessing if used correctly. The chips better not end up in sewers, as it happened after a huge thunderstorm in another state. Now the sewers are efficiently blocked, and parts of the small town are flooded.
Tomorrow will be asparagus day. Poor me, since daughter is at work all day long it´s me who has to peel a whole kilo of it. Hubby is extremely unhelpful with the peeling process. Has tried to assist often enough, until I chased him away. With him it´s either halfway peeled or next to no asparagus left...
