Dear Mr.Jackson

It is with great regret that I had to ackknowledge that yours was the last filming of Tolkien´s literary remains. Great regret, because it was your way of twisting Tolkien´s Hobbit, a charming children´s book, into a robber story of epic proportions. It is no wonder that Tolkien´s heir and custodian of his literary etate finally applied the emergency brake and forbid further mutilation of his father´s work. What got my hackles up was the way you delivered this fact to your fans in your blog. So each and every believes that you had terminated the filming of your own accord. That, Mr. Jackson, is a lie. You are officially prohibited murdering Mr. Tolkien´s books, and so are all the other director´s, at least as long as Christopher Tolkien is alive and well. Now I will never be able to watch the Great stories of the Silmarillion on-screen, plus I will never become acquainted with Mr. Glorfindel. Well done, Mr. Jackson!

Yours sincerely,
Mrs.Noadvertising

Amen. Exactly my thoughts. I read the article about why his son forbade further filming. Sad!

It´s not that I don´t like the films, but they deviate from the book too much. Of course some of the fans will read Tolkien´s books because of Jackson´s filming, but they will be disappointed because there aren´t even half as much stirring events in the original tales than in the films.
