Oct. 29th, 2022 04:51 pmOdds are in favour that Germany will give up covid hysterics. Or not. Stiko chair Mertens thinks that covid has turned into an endemic infection, and that it´s the vulnerable persons, who are responsible to keep themselves out of trouble by vaccination and wearing masks. But Federal government is tied to mother WHO´s apron and insists that it´s still a pandemic, no matter how mild the infections are now. Now let´s see how long they will keep Mertens. There surely is some other academic, who will favour the pandemic. Now we sit and wait for what happens next...
Family number three arrived just in time for a late lunch. Apparently there have been some hoppalas when leaving. At least they did not forget to bring Elsa´s suitcase, as they had done once. Good that no one took off with it, because it was in front of their garage for almost a week! Matthäus is the most well-nourished baby I have seen for a long time! I wonder how long it will take until he will start to crawl. He reminds me very much of his aunt Lil, who had looked like a piglet when very young, began to walk around the furniture when she was not even six month old and ran along with eight and a half month. From then on you could watch her losing weight, and when she was a year old, nothing reminded of the extremely chubby baby she had been once...
Everything was okay until sleeping time for the grandchildren. It took a long time for son to bring Elsa to sleep, and Matthäus did not want to sleep at all. He wept, he howled- sorry for DiL, but I have been through this, and five times at that... I brought a bottle of wine up from the cellar, shared it with my son and went to bed afterwards. This night we will go back to standard time. Elsa has gotten her allowance to come to the sleeping room and wake her grandparents. Now I wonder, if this has been a good idea!
