Why do people hate Livejournal this much? Okay, since it got a new owner, downtime periods doubled, no, increased threefold, as did the length of it. Record holder should be downtown period at the turn of the year, when operations came to a standstill for several days. Users were highly indignant, and justifiably so. But making a fuss because of a few minutes downtime...needless to say that if you follow the comments on Facebook, you´ll discover the same persons getting worked up over it. Do these people have a real life, or do they spend all of their time in front of the PC, waiting for Livejournal to crash again? Livejournal got a makeover, that´s great, even if not all features are compelling. Everything in life changes at some point of time! Livejournal is stolid and vintage, a predecessor of Facebook, a dino among the social networking websites, but it offers you a  bit more of privacy than other contestants! Long live Livejournal!
