New Year's Eve turned out the way I had wanted our Christmas Eve- blessedly quiet, at least for a while! I had a shrimps cocktail, before we left for a visit to daughter's godmother, where I had salmon then- whatelse! Everybody loves salmon, me, too! Here comes the crux: If I eat fish, I need to take medication, to not let the fish swim in places a fish does not belong to, like plastic bowls or water closets. Alas, I forgot to order new pills but ate fish anyway. New habits die hard- time without fish seems so far away already! Needless to say that we were back home quite early. After some rough time I got well again, but for the rest of the evening hubby and I stayed at home. What if there'd be more salmon and shrimps at the next buffet? TV programme was horrible, so hubby forced me to watch Pirates of the Carribian, which seemed the lesser evil. Well, I was not exactly thrilled by the first three parts, it did not change to the better with part five. Hubby and I shared a bottle of prosecco, watched the yearly fireworks in idiot neighbour's garden (that family must have spent a fortune on rockets) and up the hill, where a professional pyrotechnist is living. Best show ever! I was in bed at one and got woken at two, because another idiot neighbour started a second round with firecrackers- dead drunk mostly and loudly cheering. Blessedly fingers of the participants are still in place, I did not hear an ambulance coming!
Not much got done today: We got up late, hubby watched New Year's concert, we skipped lunch and had pork roast for early dinner. Pork roast on New Year's Day is tradition, a must for hubby. Me: Yuck!
