noadvertising | That came unexpected

After a morning without disturbances of any kind I went out onto the terrace to take down the wash, when all of a sudden I heard a former neighbour call to me from her son´s house. We had not seen and heard of each other for quite a while, so I invited her to come over. Five minutes later she was in the house for coffee and cookies, and half an hour later hubby and I had an invitation to said son´s house for this evening, where he will have a grill party in honour of Mother´s Day. Hubby and I accepted without a fuss, that was until I realised the problem, even if it was too late then to cancel- I simply forgot about the Eurovision Song Contest this evening. Even though the former neighbour will be there, too, because she´s the one who will get honoured, and she is also one who loves to listen to this sort of music, there won´t be a chance to watch the competition, at least the biggest part of it. Well, it´s not the first time that I will miss it, and it might happen more often in the near future, so no big problem. Some songs, the successful ones, I will be able to watch on Youtube tomorrow. The rest can be ignored anyway. Well, save for the funny interpretations and their even funnier performers. I hope there won´t be too many of those, or I might be miffed!
