T'was finally a day with warmer temperatures (three degrees, plus this time) and lots of sun. The snow we got during night was rapidly melting away, but who needs snow save for the time around Christmas! I don't do skiing anymore, and even if I'd do I would not take on the time to drive to the skiing regions Innergebirg, means through the bottleneck called Pass Lueg, where there's traffic jam all day long since the start of repair work in the tunnels. And the ski lifts next to us, seven minutes from our house, where all our children learned to ski and snowboard, are operating no more. Must be the lack of snow...
in the morning I started with decluttering the tiny studio, though I have to admit that I did it only because of Firenze. Still no sign of him. I wonder if the guy has made it into the box with the Barbies and is now partying with them! There has been the one and only Elsa, who had free reign to the studio to play with the dolls at Christmas. And since Elsa is a very tall girl- she has reached 138 centimetres now and is not yet six years old- she will likely have played with what was left of the Potter figurines in the showcase which did not pose in the Christmas lanterns. I also did sort wool into the wool boxes on the shelf in the bedroom and chucked out the balls I won't need anymore. One big box less in the studio (and one more in the basement). Once again no lentil-chicken curry, we had cheese toast and salad. Our American sandwich toast (bought every week) is dying so quickly that we will need to have toast and garlic soup with croutons once a week, unless bread has to go into the organic waste bin. Which would be a real waste...
I'd love to give a box with odds and ends to the (not so) nice lady who is selling at flea markets, only that during winter there aren't any save for the churchy and charitable ones, and the lady's garage is on the verge of bursting with things she can't sell at the moment. Now I feel very tempted... I am not a bad person per se, but this lady gets minimum pension with free medication, no TV license fee, no fees for waste disposal and additional winter fuel payment but does a lot of illegal employment, makes money at flea markets and circumnavigates the tax authority like a pro. Must have learned from her oldest, who once drove to the tax office in his Porsche to request the same ten percent tax ratio sportsmen were getting in our country. Unbelievable, but he was successful! Enough bitched now- now we come to the best thing of the day- hubby was off at five in the afternoon, for a trip to Media Markt for special batteries for the door bell (thank heavens- I was freaking out each time someone pushed the bell and Big Ben went through three different keys) and a tablet holder plus protective foils (very handy when there´s a boy with sniffles behind you watching what you are watching and does not find his tissue in time when sneezing). Hubby will be at a concert afterwards, which is simply fabulous, because I found a movie on Amazon Prime I´d love to watch- alone, if possible! I do not tolerate well when hubby sits next to me, clearly bored out of his mind, because there´s no crime thriller on the programme! I at least have the decency to simply fall asleep during the crimes I get to see!
