Good kids!
Feb. 15th, 2025 06:18 pm Our day started at seven in the morning, when both boys took a run to the loo. Now I wonder why the two get up so early when at home! Their father was a bit miffed, when he picked them up and we told him about this. At least it´s quiet again!
Cassian and I started with the Romanian Lego. Now I know that the original Lego is worth every euro- at some point we stopped building, because the manual is horrible, the pieces won´t fit easily and and and... I broke three fingernails, before I put a stop to grandson´s building endeavour. Absolutely not funny! We switched to cooking then. Flavius peeled three cloves of garlic with his tiny fingers, not a tiny spec of peel got left. Unfortunately he rubbed his eyes with his unwashed hands... Cassian did peel the potatoes and seems to have a lot of experience in this already. The soup was ready when their dad showed up. Each of the two got a few spoons of potato soup- one can´t send children off without letting them taste the fruits of their labour!
The afternoon got spent with chasing toy cars- those are everywhere now. It´s really hard to get them out from under the new seating area- you better be a chimp with long, long arms and able to handle the Swisher ultra long! Afterwards I changed the bedding on the guest beds, and hubby turned the washing machine on. Strange, when the prices of energy went throuh the roof we did so once a week. Prices did not come back down, but hubby is either not resentful, oblivious or outright wealthy. I assume it´s the first two ones...
We are still chasing moths- food moths downstairs, clothes moths upstairs. I will have to resort to scorpion wasps, if I do not want to make use of chemistry. Alas, if daughter mine will find one of those midgets she might have a coronary! With all those grandchildren in the house I missed the best opportunity to set those scorpion flies free- no more early shifts for daughter in February means no daughter at our house- but March holds a lot of early work!
