Cassian was his usual self- well-mannered, interested in reading books with me, doing Lego, watching video clips. His brother was the complete opposite, would have needed to run out excessive energy but could not. Wonders will never cease, but it finally has started to rain, and how! The buckets in the conservatory had to be activated, to the amusement of the boys. The moment I turned around Flavius was out to put the bucket on the table away, again and again. Third time is the charm, they say. That was when I finally exploded. That boy was like a leech all day long, but apparently found enough space to wreak a lot of havoc in between. Son number four told hubby to not always cuddle the young man, but this one has a very volatile temper. So volatile that at some point I sent him to the guestroom and told him to only show up again when he was ready to behave. I do not want to get bitten by a rabid three-year-old, who thinks that he is in charge-always!
Of course, hubby forced me to cook the big programme, even though he did not know when the boys´ parents intended to show up- son did not answer hubby´s invitation to pork roast with knoepfli and vegetable sauce, a meal the boys liked very much, especially the knoepfli. Glad that hubby had brought up more meat than I thought I´d need! My hope is that some will be left for number four, when he will return from his visit to a friend! In other words- I did cook a lot, the boys helped with cutting carrots and onions and what goes into a vegetable sauce, then we built more of Diagon Alley, had lunch, I tidied the kitchen, went upstairs to the bedroom, had half an hour of me-time while Cassian watched Ninjago, then younger grandson showed up from after-lunch nap, and the racket started anew. It´s almost six in the evening now, and the boys are still with us, no parents in sight. And I am tired...
