noadvertising The only way out of the house was through the entry door. No fun when one carries a load of freshly washed clothes- in hand, because our laundry bin has vanished since hubby used it for pool cleaning. Since today was the last day with fine weather I had to do the washing earlier than usual. The wind was strong- too strong for the drying rack to stay upright. I had to go outside (through the entry door, of course) thrice to return it to upright position. Hubby was impregnating (
wiseheart that´s indeed the correct expression, funny or not) the concrete practically all day long. Here a bit, there a bit, just the way he is always progressing- slowly and completely unsystematic.
I managed to pack the needed medication and toiletries plus heaped some clothing onto my recliner- hubby thinks that I have started packing. He must want me out of the house, because he is constantly taking the suitcase after me. No need to hurry, the flight is at 3.30 on Thursday. Packing for six days cannot be that hard!
Since hubby bought even more wraps I decided to skip cooking and opted for cheesy wraps with ham for hubby and smoked trout for me. Tasted strange at first, but I liked it! No after-lunch nap today, because the carpenter came and measured the terrace- again. Hubby is on pins and needles. He has already bought paint for the wood- white apparently. Well, better than a dark colour which would not go well with the house.
Daughter told me to bring contact lenses to the trip- she still remembers that once I maqnaged to sit on my glasses and break them, when we were travelling. For two days I was one giant blind bat travelling, before I was able to get contact lenses in Inverness. Daughter is still upset thinking of the time she practically had to lead me along. I am typing the entry with the new lenses I found in the bathroom cabinet. Now I easily can see what I am typing but the rest is a bit fuzzy- the lenses are not up to the newest state of dioptres. But it seems as if I do not have problems wearing contacts. Haven´t worn such for more than four years...
