Knitting at two forty in the morning

Why do strange nights always happen when I have to get up early? First I was barely asleep, when hubby came to the bedroom and did not close the blinds, as I had asked him. Thought he'd wake me- as if I'd be able to sleep, when he makes so much ruckus safe for the one thing I had asked him to do. I did not fall asleep again for quite a while. Then I woke, because outside strong winds had come up, and the things husband mine had not secured in advance started flying off. Hubby got up and put all into the garage. Of course, me wide awake again. Asleep again at some point, woke, had a look at my mobile, turned the alarm off (it would go off the next minutes and I did not want to wake hubby). Only that this only happened in my dream save for the getting up. In the bathroom I had another look at the mobile and noticed that a) it was two twenty and b) I had not turned the alarm off. Had only dreamed it up. So I was up fourty minutes early! I dressed, made myself a cup of coffee and did some knitting, until daughter showed up and we finally left. Went back to bed when back home and listened to the birdlife awaken. It was crows versus magpies versus pigeons, mixed with the crowing of the rooster up the hill. Even hubby woke and listened to the cacophony. Pidgeons are new in this area, but recently a huge flock sat upon neighbour´s roof...I made it through the morning with the aid of strong coffee. Cooked Indian tomato soup for lunch. We also had leftover from yesterday for hubby and daughter. Then I drove to the airport, picked daughter up and we went to Smyth´s Toys for a present for Matthäus. Boy will turn three on Wednesday, we will visit the family on Saturday. Car will be overloaded with a fridge and lots of huge planting pots I do not need anymore. I am done with planting, too much work and uncertain outcome. After lunch I went upstairs for a rest, got woken by a thunderstorm. Since then it´s raining, and temperatures dropped down to 16 degrees- we are back to usual. Seems that the western part of our country gets the obligate summer weather with meagre temperatures and plenty of rain, while the east will suffer from heat. Well, no one can change the weather, we have to cope with what we get! Hubby was off in the late afternoon for shopping and putting sandbags in front of son´s entrance door- with such a heavy rain and no one at home this seems reasonable. The house is located at the foot of a mountain, and water comes down from the mountain aplenty in addition to the downpour!
And now to a funny story from Salzburg airport: Yesterday our neighbour told us that she´d done a wonderful 50 plus tour (sounds better than over eighty tour) to Tivat in Montenegro. Today a whole plane went off to this destination. They needed more than one hour for the check-in- those people did not even know the destination they had booked, had to get picked out of the sea of people waiting for their flight. Must have been deaf all. One woman hit the glass door hard with her head. Another passenger killed it with the handluggage. All were upset that they had to show the passport twice. One lady tried to pay for the forgotten online check-in with her e card, because no one had told her how to use her credit card. Every other male did tell a dumb joke about bombs in the luggage that would have them arrested at other airports. Half of the passengers were heading to the wrong plane and had to be re-directed to the proper one- apparently they preferred Lufthansa! The last guests were so out of breath that they had to be bodily supported on their way to the plane. And my husband was so excited about those 50plus tours that he spent a lot of time visiting their homepage! That does not bode well!
