Four forty three...
Jun. 25th, 2025 06:32 pm ...in the morning it was, when idiot neighbour started his daily Wake-Up-the-Others programme. When he's sure that everyone around has been bestowing swear words on him he will call it a day and go back to sleep, until his only a bit less idiotic twin sons will be back from working and he can start wreaking havoc anew.
At five fifteen young Miss Constance made it clear to her parents that she was ready to start her day. Apparently her parents were not as ready as she was, so she put more force into her attempts at getting out of the bed this early. Her sister Charlotte soon joined the ruckus. All I thought was Why can't people close their bedroom windows. Then again, it's the best way to cool a house down the natural way. Being completely awake then I took my tablet and started reading. An e-book first, then fanfiction. Oh dear, that can be so funny- I think today's favourite was when someone threatened to ring a neck. I was on the brink of falling asleep again when a big fly made it into the bedroom, soon joined by another. That's it- I got up, went down to the kitchen and got told that our coffee maker had died during night. Workshop says that there´s no chance to revive it, no replacement available anymore! So I made myself a cup of tea and sat on the terrace to have a quiet breakfast, when hubby's phone rang. DiL wanted us to take care of grandchildren four and five- she had a doctor´s appointment. This meant our menue plan had to change again, as well as hubby's plans for the afternoon. The birthday party Cassian was invited to did not start at four thirty but at three but ended at five. DiL came at a quarter to three, hubby loaded the boys into her car and off they were to come late to the party. Number two was to pick Cassian up then drive to number one to help with the sunblind, which is huge and needed one helper more and an additional ladder. I stayed at home and listened to Charlotte´s birthday party at neighbour´s. A girls-only party, which is worse than one where boys are included. I swear that all those girls were wearing pink with unicorn decor. And they were extremely loud, especially when they got allowed to dive into grandma´s pool! At some point I went inside, closed the terrace door and continued with knitting. I so love it- one day with 32 degrees, and all I could do was tidy up, cook, watch the boys then wallow in self-pity, because the day was almost over and I had not even made it into the pool. Tomorrow weather will turn to muggy with heavy thunderstorms, Friday will be better again- but hubby had warned me that DiL talked about bringing the boys, because she needed to supervise the deconstruction of her exhibition, before she´ll leave for Romania on Monday. There goes our summer...
